Handcrafted Chikankari Sarees
From the Heritage Lanes of Lucknow

What is Chikankari?

An intricate hand embroidery art from the royal courts of Lucknow, India, Chikankari dates back to the 3rd century.

Every motif is patiently hand-stitched—thread by thread—into fine fabric, using age-old techniques passed down through generations.

The result? Ethereal textures, delicate detailing, and a quiet luxury that no machine can replicate.

This is not just embroidery.

This is heritage—crafted to be worn.

Why is it different?

In a world full of fast fashion and factory finishes, Chikankari stands apart.

It’s one of the few traditions that still honors the time it takes to create something meaningful.

No two pieces are ever the same. That’s not a flaw—it’s a mark of authenticity.

What makes Chikankari premium?

  • Every piece is hand-embroidered using traditional stitches like Shadow Work, Phanda, Muqaish, and more.

  • The process is intricate and time-intensive, demanding patience, precision, and deep skill. A single saree can take weeks to finish.

  • It carries cultural significance. Each motif reflects centuries of design language and symbolism.

The result? Fabric that speaks. A drape that feels alive. Embroidery that holds emotion in every thread.

This is what makes Chikankari not just beautiful—but meaningful.

Who are we?

Raaga Royale Ethnics is built on family, craftsmanship, and a bold sense of purpose.

While this may be your first time hearing our name, the work behind it has been decades in the making.

Our parent manufacturing unit—Madhuram Chikan—was founded over 40 years ago in Lucknow—the home of traditional Chikankari.

Since then, we’ve been one of the go-to manufacturers and wholesalers, proudly working with 350+ Indian retail brands across the country.

Today, Raaga Royale is the export extension of that legacy, led by the next generation.

We’re not traders. We’re not middlemen.

We are direct descendants of the craft—deeply connected to the artisans, techniques, and history that make Chikankari what it is—we know our artisans, their stories, and their families.

We’ve designed this collection to give global retailers a dependable, personal, and high-quality gateway into India’s most elegant hand embroidery.

We’re structured, registered, and GST-compliant in India.
